How Long Is The Journey?
From London: Direct flights to Santiago are around 14–15 hours
From New York / US East Coast: Direct flights are roughly 10–11 hours overnight
From Canada / West Coast USA / Australia: Usually one long‑haul plus a connection (often via US, Brazil or Panama)
If you can give yourself 5–7 days total, you can do 2–3 days in Santiago (wedding + recovery + exploring) and 2–3 days for coast, wine, or mountain day trips (no extra flights needed).
Why It's Worth The Investment
(other than how much you love us and how intrigue you are on the dress Kata chose)
Instead of spending this year's holiday budget on a "nice" but forgettable week somewhere close, this is a chance to:
- See friends and family from around the world all together in one place
- Experience a country that gives you deserts, mountains, vineyards and Pacific coast in one trip
- Tie the expense of a long‑haul flight to something deeply personal and memorable: our wedding & hanging out with friends not talking about PPC or Amazon for a change!
If you're on the fence, we'd gently say: if you were ever going to come to South America, this is the moment to make it count – with builtin logistics, ready‑made company, and a celebration at the heart of it.
What's The Weather Like – What Do I Pack?
Early April is autumn in Santiago. Typical daytime temperatures are around 22–24°C, with cooler evenings around 9–11°C. Rain is rare in April and you're more likely to have dry, sunny days.
For the city and wedding: Pack light layers (day dresses/shirts, a cardigan or light jacket, something slightly warmer for evenings). Comfortable walking shoes for exploring, and dress‑up shoes for the wedding.

With a good balance mix of a 50/50 attendance of foreign based guests who speaks spanish and local ones who speak mostly spanglish, We can't wait to celebrate with you, Santiago is mostly english friendly and as history has it, you will realise you don't need to speak other people’s languages to have a meaningful experience, much like Matt and Kata fell in love over caipinhas and chemistry rather than spoken words !
